Robinia Invest adds the selling of Paulownia trees to its business

Over the last few months we've been approached by different parties several times, who are interested in buying Paulownia trees.

Currently, there are only a handful of nurseries in Europe who offer Paulownia trees, but most of them do not offer the frost resistant clones that we can offer.

The Paulownia clones that we offer can survive the German winters, which were quite extreme over the last two years. Temperatures to -25 Celsius have been recorded at our plantations and the trees survived. 

If you are considering setting up Paulownia plantations for timber or biomass production, we can offer our assistance in making those plantations a succes. Unlike most other trees, Paulownia need a bit more attention when it comes to setting up the plantations and managing them.

The following yields can be expected:

1. If you plant for biomass: 20-50 tons/ Ha/ year. The higher yields can only be achieved in southern Europe, or if you allow the trees more time to grow.
2. If you plant for timber: 200-300 m³/ Ha after 10 years. The higher yields can only be achieved in southern Europe, or if you allow the trees more time to grow. 

The Paulownia we offer:

• Frost resistant to -25 Celcius
• We supply one year old saplings, as rootstocks
• Non invasive species, as the seeds of this clone cannot survive in the wild

• Irrigation equipment at low cost, which you will require in hotter, more arid regions

Terms and conditions:

• If you require large numbers of trees, you will have to order at least a year ahead of time
• We require 50% down payment before delivery and 50% after delivery
• All payments have to go through an escrow account
